Ary started out as an enthusiastic student in 2012, trying Salsa, Zouk, Bachata, Burlesque and most of the other styles Salsabor offered. She has stuck with Bachata, and is heavily involved in the Canberra dancing scene.

She has performed on numerous occasions at end of term parties and at multicultural festivals, and is a member of Salsabor’s Zouk Performance Team. The highlight of Ary’s dancing was competing in the Australian Salsa Open, placing 3rd in the semi pro couples division in 2013.

Ary says “I am privileged to have performed and competed at various events. I believe that social dancing has definitely given me the courage and confidence to perform on stage.”

Outside dancing, she teaches Psychology and Human Biology to year 11 and 12 students at Lake Tuggeranong College. Born in Thailand, Ary arrived in Australia at the age of two with her family.

Make sure you ask Ary for a dance on Monday nights at Latin Mondays!
